- Fort Foster Living History, Third Sunday Each Month
Located at Hillsborough River State Park, Fort Foster is the only standing replica of a Second Seminole War Fort in the United States. The third Sunday of each month, Army, Navy and Militia reenactors will garrison Fort Foster and tell what life was like in an 1830s fort. Call Hillsborough River State Park for more details. - Pinellas Folk Festival Saturday January 26
This annual celebration features traditional Florida folk music, storytelling, and pioneer crafts performed by skilled artisans. Sheep to shawl activities (sheep shearing demonstration, spinning, and weaving), vintage baseball, and a delicious food court round out the day's activities! 10 Am - 4 PM at Heritage Village.

Alafia River Rendevous, Friday & Saturday, Jan 25-26, near Lakeland
Living history re-enactment and preservation of the skills from these early times. See various life skills including blacksmithing, leatherworking, archery, musket shooting, knife throwing and hawking. Large gathering of people who get together and do this for fun all week! Only open to the public on Friday and Saturday.

Another ! Pre-1840's Pioneers and Mountain Men living history re-enactment for the preservation of the skills from these early times. See various life skills including blacksmithing, leatherworking, candle-making, 'voyager cooking', archery, musket shooting, knife throwing and hawking. These people do this for fun all week and kindly open to the public on this weekend. Lunch on site, period food available. Near Bradenton at Camp Flying Eagle.
